How to insert equations, number, and reference them in a Google Doc. I will first show you how to add an equation using the Google Doc inbuilt tool. Then I will show you how to add more complex mathematical equations using an add-on called Docx2LaTeX which allows you to write LaTeX equations in Google Docs. Moreover, with this tool, you can number equations and reference them in the text.
