How to drill out a rivet, 1991 Jeep Wrangler YJ door latch striker
This video shows you how to drill out a rivet on the door latch striker for a 1991 Jeep Wrangler YJ. This is being done on a brand new replacement part that I purchased from Amazon, but that was obviously made defective, because when I installed it, to the car, the door latch would not line up! The striker was almost a full inch too low for the door latch to close! So in order to fix it, I had to remove the assembly, drill out the rivets, relocate the striker plate, and reinstall the parts. A very big PITA! Thanks Amazon for wasting hours of my time!
Anyway now it's fixed and the door closes great!
