LAPL Introduces: The Yale Puppeteers Exhibit
The Los Angeles Public Library presents the work of The Yale Puppeteers Turnabout Theater collection. This is a a unique look at Los Angeles theatre, puppetry, and three friends with a mutual love of puppet theater.

Before radio, television, and the internet, puppeteers entertained audiences around the country. In the 1920s, vaudeville and live reviews were all the rage, and enterprising puppeteers like Tony Sarg, Ellen van Volkenberg and Helen Haiman Joseph toured the States with sizeable ensembles.
