Let's take a look at the new Snapshot updates available this week for Minecraft 1.9 the Combat Update (15w45a, 15w46a, 15w47a, 15w47b, 15w47c, 15w49a, 15w49b, 15w50a, 15w51a & 15w51b) and run down the list of new features & fixes added, including sound effects for tons of actions & mobs like Shulkers, Witches, & Squids, Sweep attacks doing 1/2 Heart of damage to all mobs affected by knockback, Infinity bows no longer working with Spectral & Tipped Arrows, 1.9 delayed to early 2016, the release of Minecraft Wii U, the 1.8.9 update, performance optimizations, Mob pathfinding & AI improvements, additional monster infighting, Ender Dragon status effect immunity, Endermen no longer losing the ability to dodge melee attacks after being hit, Horses rotating with players, Snow Golems revealing their true Snowman face under the pumpkin when sheared, Iron Golems gaining 100% knockback resistance, Bunny Rabbits revamped to be smaller, weaker, faster, more finicky, less destructive to carrot crops, & biome dependent, Maps reverting to their old features, Beacon effects extending based on pyramid size, Farmland no longer being trampled by smaller mobs, fixed Skin layers, changes to projectile & Arrow physics, hit box adjustments to redstone dust & more, Elytra damage increased when hitting walls, a 0.0000000001% chance of the End portal being activated when a world generates, Sneaking reducing the amount of exhaustion taken, Frost Walker enchantment no longer working on armor stands, Lightning no longer destroying item frames, leash knots, paintings, or armor stands, new Status Effect icons, and more. Also, lots of optimizations & bug fixes. Thanks for watching guys...1.9 is almost feature complete & ready!
