All my Helix Patches: http://www.worshiptutorials.com/helix/
This patch bundle includes 4 separate patches - a version for single coils and for humbuckers, and for each version, a patch using IR's and a patch using stock Helix cabs.
I use IR's from OwnHammer (they are not included with the patch). If you download the patch, you'll receive a 'Read Me' file with information about which IR's to buy and how the patch is laid out with usage examples.
Signal flow and Amps/Effects
You can set up a Helix in almost any way you can think of, but I like to set it up like a pedalboard – so I have effects mapped to switches. I don’t typically like to set up completely different patches for different parts of a song, although this is certainly an effective way to do things.
Here is the signal flow and effects:
Input: set to guitar
Volume (log curve) – mapped to EXP 2
Deluxe Comp – I leave this on all the time, and it’s set to be very transparent sounding (not mapped to a switch)
Tremolo – 60’s Bias Trem. This is not set to a foot switch, but can be used if you want tremolo.
Minotaur – very low gain Klon sound – mapped to switch labeled “Klon”
Teemah! – Timmy drive – mapped to switch labeled ‘“Timmy”
Scream 808 – classic tube screamer sound – mapped to switch labeled ‘808’
Amps – AC30 Fawn Nrm model and Fender Deluxe model
Plate Reverb – always on to give the amps a sense of space (very subtle)
IR Cabs (or stock cabs if you’re using the non ‘IR’ version of this patch
Transistor Tape Delay – set to Quarter note – mapped to switch labeled ‘Quarter DLY’
Vintage Digital Delay – Set to dotted 8th note delay – mapped to switch labeled “Dotted 8th DLY”
Vintage Digital Delay – Set to 8th note delay – mapped to switch labeled “8th DLY’
Hall Reverb – Set to a short decay. I use this as an almost always on kind of reverb – mapped to switch labeled “Short Verb”
Hall Reverb – Set to a long decay. Very ambient long reverb – mapped to switch labeled ‘Long Verb’
Looper – mapped to switch labeled ‘LOOPER’
