If you're a freelance developer or programmer you're going to have to work with companies like Fiverr and Upwork, so you need to know how much money each company takes as their commission.
Fiverr takes 20% on the entire cost of the project, even including tips. Upwork, on the other hand takes 20% on the first $500, then 10% on the next $9500, then 5% after that.
Another distinction between the two companies not covered in this short clip is that Upwork bases theses commissions per client lifetime, while Fiverr's blanket 20% cut applies per project.
