D&D Build #14: The Crossbow Rune Knight
In this video, I go through a build that combines a few of my favorite things: rune knight fighter, crossbows, and the dragonborn race. While I compare this build against my other nova damage dealers, this character also has solid DPR, AoE options, control abilities, and ways to protect their allies. This is a Rune Knight Fighter build for D&D 5e. Rune knights are also very well rounded, being better at skills than any other fighter subclass (and better at skills than just about any other class/subclass that doesn't focus on them). If you want to multiclass this build, 3 levels of Gloomstalker Ranger (taken at character levels 7-9) will be the most impactful, though you miss out on some pretty cool high level fighter features for doing so.
