Chandrayaan-3 is India’s third lunar mission launched by Indian Space Research Organisation. Its main objective was to achieve a safe and soft landing on the Moon and explore its surface.
The mission included a Vikram lander and Pragyan rover, which successfully landed on the Moon’s south polar region—an area never explored before. This made India the first country to reach this region and the fourth country in the world to achieve a soft landing on the Moon.
Chandrayaan-3 helps scientists study lunar soil, temperature, and seismic activity, providing valuable information about the Moon’s composition and evolution. The mission is a symbol of India’s growing strength in space technology and innovation.
