Uta Frith, ya como investigadora de prestigio, no aceptó la idea imperante que negaba la base cerebral de la dislexia. Maggie Snowling, su primera estudiante doctorado, descubriría su origen como trastorno auditivo, originado por déficits en el procesamiento del habla. Siguió una labor de tests y pruebas enfocada a avanzar en este enfoque ya aceptado como pionero.
Uta Frith, already an outstanding professor and researcher, found in the work of her PhD Student Maggie Snowling the confirmation that Dyslexia was a brain-based problem, caused by speech processing deficits and issues. This first insight was followed by further research that shed light on this new path.
