The Big Bang Theory - 4:3 output on E4 (2)

Very strange occurrence. As far as I can remember this episode has been broadcast in its proper 16:9 format before - why would they then start to air it in 4:3 output when they rarely show programmes in that output (the exception of Christmas specials over the year). Could it be a new master? The episodes before and after were in the proper aspect ratio so I doubt it. - This clip here shows TBBT (4:3) ending and into the next episode, which is in proper 16:9.
