Alla Prima, also known as direct painting or wet-on-wet, is a common and contemporary practice for oil painting. In this video, we will discuss its history and methodology as we set-up and run through the painting process in a demonstration from beginning to end.
I also discuss and demonstrate the basics of mixing oil colors and the set-up of two different options for color palettes all while using the Zorn palette. And finally, I run through how to use and create with the Zorn palette.
