Restricted or Diggu Waterfall & lake - PPCL MALDEVTA- Dehradun
Just around the outskirts of Dehradun is this serene and beautiful place called “Maaldevta“. You can just enjoy a ride to Maaldevta.If you are looking for the best time to visit, I would suggest you visit during Monsoon. That time the waterfall is at its fullest. But please be beware of the leeches and landslides.
The trek takes close to 20 minutes to reach the fall, and about an hour to reach the "lake". The route for the lake is full of boulders and landslide debrie, but its worth going.
Please be safe and attentive as you are going into the Jungle and you never know what might happen. Also, I would request you not to litter as I saw a huge amount of garbage and bottles lying around.
Recently, due to some deaths happening around, they don’t allow visitors to go near the waterfall. You may even find a policeman there to stop you. The parking area is now completely restricted and locals inform police if you will try to ignore the warnings. Keep these things in mind before visiting.
