ABOUT THE "TRIBES OF AFRICA - MAASAI" SERIES:
World Travels "TANZANIA: My Friends the Maasai" - A solo expedition by renowned traveler and President of the Himalayan Club Sergey Vertelov to Africa, this time to Tanzania. Upon arrival, Sergey will meet with amusing local guides, and they will all set off on a car safari. The destination of the journey is a trip to the active volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai, which means "Mountain of God" in the local dialect. At the foot of this mountain lies a vast salt flat—Lake Natron, a place of extraordinary beauty. This strange salt flat resembles a snowy valley rather than scorching Africa...
On his way to this salt lake, Sergey will meet unique, friendly, and simple people from various villages in the area—shepherds and chieftains, guides, and local beauties. But what unites them all is that they are all from the African Maasai tribe.
