The new model was certified in China with two powertrains. The base rear-wheel drive model produces 313 hp, while the all-wheel drive model with an additional 265 hp electric motor on the front axle produces 578 hp. The range on a single charge is 650 and 700 kilometers, respectively. The 800-volt battery is supplied by CATL; its capacity is not yet known.
For reference, Avatr is a joint brand of Changan, Huawei, and CATL, and the Avatr 12 is the brand's second model after the Avatr 11 crossover. The liftback is positioned as a significant competitor to the Zeekr 001.
