In this video, I discussed the internals of the id function in Python, exploring how it returns the memory address of an object. The id function guarantees a unique and constant integer value for each object during its lifetime. Objects with non-overlapping lifetimes may share the same id value due to memory address re-allocation. I delved into the source code to confirm Python's implementation, tracing the function and understanding its conversion process. Exploring source code enhances our understanding and comfort with making significant changes.
