💎 Drawing process overview:
This illustration was painted on my iPad Pro using Apple Pencil. I use Procreate app for digtial art since it is the best app from my point of view. I started with a quick sketch in order to set up drawing composition (on a separate layer using script brush).
Then I started to paint the glass. Quick tip: when painting the glass, use some gray color as a base color and then paint on top some shadows and highlights. You will achieve great realistic effects! To draw the gold fish I used a photo from Google as a drawing reference so I could use right colors and add some details (shading techniques) to add it a little bit of realism, however I am not really happy with this fish, the previous drawing was mu ch nicer, anyway, share with me in the comments what do you think about this fish.
Then I added wooden base to our aquarium. I painted 2 different wood block faces. First I painted some shadows using my custom brushes for Procreate. On the other "Clipping Mack" layer I painted wooden texture imitating Copic markers sketch. I painted 2 different wood textures. When the textures was finished I painted some shadows on top using "multiply" layer blending in the Layer's Procreate menu.
