-Filip Here's a quick guide on how to fix the problem you get with being stuck at initializing gpu-accelerated video processing when starting up Sony Vegas.
Try Sony Vegas 11, or maybe just the other versions.
This video is intented for users with NVIDIA graphic cards, but might work for AMD users as well with the corresponding steps.
