Data objects and data stores play a fundamental role within BPMN. They enable the precise representation of data flow within a business process, thus ensuring the efficient processing and storage of information.
Data objects represent information or data that is used or generated during a business process. Data objects allow you to model the interaction between activities in a BPMN diagram. By using data objects, it becomes clear which data is used by process steps and which new data is generated.
Data objects visualize the data flow transparently and are intended to contribute to clear process models, provided the data objects are modeled correctly. In addition to data objects, there are artifacts for DataInput and DataOutput.
