This quick tutorial shows how the Filter tool in Color Finale 2 Pro can be used to re-create special effect filters such as lens smear, soft blur, and many others.

Process summary: once you have applied Color Finale 2 Pro over your clip(s), add the Filter tool in the Layers Panel. Select the type of blur that suits your intent best (we chose motion blur). Then, use shape masks and blend modes to control where and how your Filter layer interacts with the underlying clip. If there is movement in the frame, you can optionally use the tracker to follow the subject. Done!
