With Sena’s Open Mesh, connecting with nearby riders is as simple as pressing the Mesh button. Wave Intercom takes this simplicity to the next level by leveraging cellular technology. Instead of just tapping the Mesh button to connect over Mesh Intercom, a double-tap on the Mesh button instantly connects you to any nearby riders in Wave Zone. The Wave Zone covers a 5-mile radius in North America and an 8-km radius in Europe.
If you are not a Sena device user, launch the Wave Intercom app on your smartphone and tap the WAVE button on the app's home screen to join Geo-based Wave Intercom.
Users on your Friends List will stay connected until the WAVE Intercom session ends. However, participants who are not on your Friends List will be disconnected if they move beyond a certain distance from your location. They will be disconnected beyond a 6-mile radius in North America and a 10-km radius in Europe.
