Analog vs Digital Synths: Roland System 8 vs Prophet 6 - A Modern Classic vs Classic Emulations
Whats the difference in real terms ie when creating a track? If the digital recreation is effectively sonically identical in a mix, then why do we still buy very expensive new synths based on old technology? I'm lusting after a Prophet 5.. but why? whats wrong with me ;) The System 8 sounds great - is it just the looks that put me off - am I that shallow??
