Coding projects are the fastest and most effective way to learn how to code. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, coding projects push you beyond your limits and help you gain new skills that help you grow more and more.
Watching coding videos and coding tutorials are great, but having your own personal coding projects gives you the hands-on learning that allows you to experiment, make mistakes, and cement the programming concepts in your head.
They also allow you to build something fun or practical. When I was first learning how to code, I started off by coding games in my TI-83. I saw my friends have games in their TI-83+’s and because my mom bought me a TI-83, I couldn’t have their games. So this started off my curiosity into building my own games.
Lastly, coding projects also key because they help you build your portfolio for when you apply to internships and jobs.
