00:00 Fishing Drama
Detective Igor Lukin, while ice fishing, witnesses an accident. His acquaintance, Nikolaev, and a friend are fishing nearby. Suddenly, his friend, Pavel Broslavsky, falls ill. The detective helps him to the car and call an ambulance. Nikolaev himself also falls ill. Doctors diagnose methanol poisoning and take the victims away. Broslavsky dies in the hospital. Nikolaev was lucky – he only took a couple of sips from Broslavsky's flask. He calls Lukin and tells him that he (Nikolaev) is suspected of poisoning his friend. At Nikolaev's request, the detective collects his belongings from the Fisherman's Hut, paying attention to Broslavsky's notebook, where he finds a will in the name of a certain Lyuda. Broslavsky's wife is named Albina. The detective goes to her and hands over her husband's belongings. Albina says that her husband had debtors, including Nikolaev. When asked about the will in Lyudmila's name, she becomes nervous and refuses to talk. A detective sees a canister of windshield washer fluid in Broslavskaya's garage, which he uses as a windshield washer fluid. The chief asks him to pour some of this fluid into a bottle. An examination reveals it to be methyl alcohol. Broslavsky's widow is placed under surveillance, and a listening device is planted in her purse. The chief learns that Nikolaev's wife is named Lyudmila. Broslavsky arranges to meet her at the café. The detectives observe this meeting. It turns out that Lyudmila Nikolaeva is pregnant with the late Pavel Broslavsky's child and is now laying claim to his inheritance. Detectives see Albina slip something into Lyudmila's drink. The two women then drive together, supposedly to a notary, to confirm who is on the right side of the law. But on the way, Albina's car turns toward the garages. The widow backs the car into the garage, leaving her unconscious friend in the seat and the engine running. Detectives manage to rescue Lyudmila and detain Broslavskaya. Under the weight of evidence, Broslavskaya confesses to poisoning her husband herself, intending to eliminate both her rival and the heir to her late husband's fortune.

Lidia Sergeevna Krasnovskaya contacts the detectives. Her son, Andrei, has been arrested for stealing an expensive necklace. The necklace was stolen from Nina Georgievna Chernova's apartment. Lidia Sergeevna is certain her son is innocent. Detectives begin an investigation. It turns out the necklace did not belong to Chernova, but was left for her safekeeping by a wealthy friend. Now Nina Chernova will have to pay the full price of the necklace. She doesn't have that kind of money. Chernova may have to sell her apartment. Chernova's son, Venya, claims Andrey committed the theft, but detectives discover that Venya owed Andrey a large sum of money. Could Venya have framed Andrey to avoid repaying the debt? Anna Gaivoronskaya contacted a detective agency. She is worried about her husband, Sergey. Sergey owes a large sum of money. Gaivoronskaya considers Sergey (he is 10 years younger than her) to be impulsive and emotional; she fears he might get into trouble, and asks the detectives to "keep an eye" on him for the few days until she pays off his debt. According to his wife, Sergey works as a night security guard at a city supermarket. During the investigation, it turns out he's cheating on his wife and has never worked at a supermarket. Furthermore, the detectives witness an attack on Sergei by an unknown assailant.
