Sadly 3D printers and CNC machines don't speak English, so telling them to cut a circle doesn't result in anything. Instead, they speak gcode, so we should probably at least know how to read it to better understand what is going on. In this video, I explain the basics behind how gcode is structured and how you can read it quite easily.

To view your gcode files you can use any text editor. The one I used is called Brackets and allows you to color-code the commands for better readability.
