Jeanine Deckers, also known as Sœur Sourire (Sister Smile) was a Belgian nun who had a recording career in the 1960's. She was known in America as "The Singing Nun". I came upon her by accident when I bought her LP from a thrift store.
She was an interesting person, and more research on her is warranted if you like this song.
