🍃 In the Pacific region, countries and territories need to adapt and prepare for both the current effects of climate change, as well as its predicted future impacts.
Climate adaptation refers to changes in processes, practices, and structures to moderate potential damages or to benefit from opportunities associated with climate change.
When it comes to climate adaptation, there is a range of measures that are supported by regional organisations, such as building adaptive capacity and resilience to extreme events or reducing the risk of damage to people, housing, and ecosystems.
