Wind Blows Down Trees. Boot Stuck in the Mud.
Sometimes good ideas don't turn out the way you want them to when it comes down to actually applying the idea. Today I show you how my idea to build a corduroy road started off with good intentions, but ended up in a completely different way than I expected. No smoke and mirrors here. Despite the change of direction, watch as I take you for a tour of where I get the majority of my firewood and the challenges I face in getting it. Some say burning wood is easy when the wood is on your own property, I beg to differ. When it comes down to gathering this firewood, it'd be easier and likely cheaper (if my time was valued) to have firewood logs dropped in the laneway. However, the fresh-air and exercise I get from putting the hurt on these down trees with my chainsaw is well worth the effort. I just have to tell myself that over and over again when it's wet and cold out haha. Anyways, today was a nice day for a stroll with Koda and my favourite dark-roast coffee (see top pocket) so all ended well. Thanks for tagging along and see you soon!
