A Girl Captain's 195 km Journey to Buy a Bigger Cargo Ship

Today was a very special day for me because I began a journey to buy a larger cargo ship than the one I currently operate
My trip started from Ba Tri town in Vinh Long Province. From there, I traveled across the Mekong Delta, passing through Dong Thap Province before reaching Thot Not town in Can Tho City, where the ships were located. In total, the journey was about 195 km.
I visited two different cargo ships. The first one, located near Vam Cong Bridge, did not feel quite right for me. But when I arrived at the second ship near Thot Not, I immediately felt much more satisfied with its condition and size
A local broker helped guide me through the process, and after discussing everything carefully, we reached an agreement and signed a deposit contract. If everything goes smoothly, I will receive the ship in the coming days after handing over my current ship to its new owner.
This is a very important step in my life and work on the rivers of the Mekong Delta, and I am excited to share the next chapter of this journey with all of you.
