___ The film "ONE LEVEL HIGHER" posits that scientific and technological progress will ultimately lead civilization to self-destruction. This can be seen as the matter of the Universe creating rare astronomical objects within itself. If, however, we assume that planet Earth, by some chance, is not destroyed, then our civilization will undoubtedly eventually not only explore every corner of its Universe but also attempt to escape its boundaries. This can be seen as the matter of our Universe breaking free from its own boundaries. However, the film makes the fantastical assumption that these two mutually exclusive possibilities may be interconnected. After all, the film's protagonist, Avdotiy Pavlovich Lisov, by a twist of fate, just on the eve of the apocalypse, encounters a representative of a civilization that has already managed to break free from the confines of its own universe. And it has done so more than once.
