How to use i3 Window Manager with MATE Desktop Environment
Sometimes you want the power of a tiling WM (Window Manager) along with the ease of use of a DE (Desktop Environment). In this tutorial I'll show you how to install the i3 WM in the MATE DE. You could probably do this with an other WM, but I chose i3, because that's what I'm most comfortable with. I chose to do this on EndeavourOS (Arch-based Linux Distro), but you can do this on Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Manjaro and probably other distros as well. You could probably do this on other DEs as well, but I am most comfortable with MATE, so I chose it as my test subject.
REMEMBER TO BACK UP YOUR SYSTEM before attempting this.
