Why 82% of Russia is Empty?
Russia, one of the world's largest countries, is known for its rich history, culture, and awe-inspiring geography. However, despite its vast landmass, about 80% of Russia's population is concentrated in just 20% of the area, primarily due to the country's harsh climates, making most of the regions uninhabitable for human life. The majority of Russians reside in urban areas, like Moscow and St. Petersburg, known for better infrastructure and opportunities. Conversely, the vast regions of Siberia and Far East are less populated due to extreme weather conditions and limited economic opportunities. The Russian government is taking proactive measures to increase population in these resource-rich, underpopulated areas, including providing free land in the Arctic region.
