Distance relays - 1
In this video, I have tried to introduce distance relays. Distance relays are basically used for transmission line fault protection. This type of protection is non-unit type protection. In this video, I have also tried to explain the impedance type distance relay, its electromechanical balanced beam structure, torque equation and characteristics of impedance relay on R-X plane.
