A redux and extension of a piece I wrote last year regarding The Iron Giant. With the Signature Edition currently out, I thought it right to produce a video essay on what is one of my all-time favourite films. This essay largely looks at the subversion of the "monster" and how Bird extends a hand between children and a "monster."
