Well, ITS FINALLY HERE!
This making a 3d element after effects tutorial will show you how to make 3d buildings from scratch and use your imagination to create a city. You can make a after effects 3d scene just by creating your own buildings. In this metropolitan after effects city I created lots of details such as AC units, grass, pools, helipads on top of the buildings. We created special reflective lighting that bounces off the pyramid. Speaking of pyramid, we created this after effects 3d pyramid using the same concept to create the buildings. It was more of a challenge because we could not use square objects. But we did incorporate the "E" logo in the pyramid along with running water and reflection. Another interesting aspect was creating a spaceship to fly through . Although we aren't 100% sure we pulled it off we did use FCP final cut pro to add some fog and effects to it. Some other features we did it editing was add the night time stars and the crazy jets that blast through the scene. Lastly we used final cut pro to add sound design and music.
