Some of the most popular questions I'm asked by other creatives is how I ship my work. While the answer can be pretty extensive, as I ship a huge variety of work (sizes, materials, shapes, and weights), this tutorial answers a lot of those questions. I'll walk you through my materials, packaging process, and best shipping tips to save TIME and MONEY.
Where do I buy boxes, if I'm not buying in bulk? HOME DEPOT
In bulk? Uline or Amazon
How do I protect my work? Glassine Paper, Bubble Wrap, Packing Paper, Foam Corners
What do I include in my packages? Artwork, handwritten Thank You note, artist bio, freebies (like postcards, notecards, or small prints), business cards, stickers, etc.
How do I save on shipping? This is my absolute biggest shipping tip-- USE PIRATE SHIP. Pirate Ship is a COMPLETELY FREE platform that integrates flawlessly with most commerce sites, and in my case, Squarespace and Etsy. I'm able to print shipping labels at home with my JOISE label printer and drop my packages off at UPS, or USPS, or even have them picked up from my front porch.
Have more questions, feel free to ask in the comments and I'll get back to you ASAP.
