Managing notifications on Twitter is crucial to maintaining a focused and uninterrupted browsing experience. To mute notifications effectively, follow these steps:
Access Notification Settings: Open the Twitter app and navigate to your profile. Tap the three-line menu icon or your profile picture to access the menu. Select "Settings and privacy," then "Notifications."
Choose Notification Type: Under "Notification preferences," you can customize various types of notifications, such as mentions, likes, retweets, and more. Select the type you want to mute.
Mute Keywords and Hashtags: To mute specific keywords or hashtags, scroll down and tap "Muted," then select "Muted words." Add the keywords or hashtags you want to mute, and specify the duration if needed.
Mute Accounts: To mute notifications from specific accounts, return to the "Notifications" section and select "Muted accounts." Add the usernames of the accounts you wish to mute.
Mute Conversations: If you want to mute notifications from a particular conversation, tap the down-arrow icon on the top right corner of a tweet within the conversation and select "Mute this conversation."
Mute from Notifications: You can also mute notifications directly from the notification itself. Swipe left on the notification, tap the three-dot menu, and choose "Mute."
Adjust Notifications Frequency: For the muted notifications, you can further customize the frequency of alerts. Choose between "From people you follow" or "From anyone."
Unmute Notifications: To unmute notifications, revisit the respective sections (Muted accounts, Muted words, or Muted conversations) and remove the entries.
