Titanium Bikepacking Rig - Why Cycles Wayward
If you were to pick a bike that needed to be durable, comfortable, and be able to carry as much gear as you would need for long, multiple-day bike packing trips, would you choose a titanium hardtail? If so, what kind of titanium hardtail? Would it be a 29er or 27.5? Would it have an ability to run a rear rack? What about a belt drive? Singlespeed? Geared? Rigid? Well, I loved riding Steve's titanium Why Cycles Wayward. It had a pretty low bottom bracket and I struck pedals quite a bit, but it was a very stable, comfortable, and capable rig that I wouldn't think twice about using for long days in the saddle, whether loaded or unloaded with bikepacking gear.
