Welcome to the first chapter of this series I'm starting on cloud computing. The cloud is a recurring topic in the software industry, and there are increasingly more job openings and many companies are using it, so it's vitally important that we understand at least the basics of cloud computing. That's why I've prepared this series, which is aimed at anyone who wants to learn about these cloud topics. You don't have to be a programmer, an engineer, or a network administrator; anyone with general computing knowledge can learn these topics. The topics we're going to cover apply to any cloud, but in this series, we'll focus on the Amazon cloud, known as Amazon Web Services, which is the most widely used cloud worldwide. It will also serve as preparation for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification. I want to offer a very practical course where we'll use all the essential services offered by AWS.
