Promotion is a bittersweet week for pro teams and amateur teams alike. LCS teams have the mistakes of a year weighing on them as they go into the all-important matchup, and have to find a way to turn around after a bad season and find their stride. Challenger Series teams, on the other hand have to struggle with the knowledge that their year's efforts have been a cakewalk compared to the grueling best of five that faces them, and if they lose, it will all have been for naught.
Adding a personal element to their performance is the knowledge that the very teams they may eliminate may be friends or ex-teammates of theirs. They may want their friends to succeed, but not over their own teams. Hear LCS players talk about the fellow players they'd like to see back in the LCS.
