This video is a little particular... About the two main characters... Is it Noctis or Noel ? And for the girl : Lightning or Serah ? I'm leaving this to your own interpretation as long as you keep in mind one is the younger self and the other is the older self.
And that asks another question then... Which pairing ? NoctisXLightning ? NoelXSerah ? Or if you want some originality : NoelXLightning and SerahXNoctis. Once again, it's up to your own interpreationt.

STORY :
I think with the beginning the video is more or less understandable, but I'll still write it down.
When they both meet, she at first doesn't know who he is, but when he'll tell her his story, she'll realize he's the son of the woman her father has tortured to death. She doesn't quite know what to do and so prefers to keep quiet about it. Time passes and they keep getting closer and closer.
When Raines realizes exactly who her new friend is, he tells her to never see him again. She runs away and decides to meet him secretly. Sadly, Raines has already taken action to get the boy killed.
They are both chased and when he notices just how dangerous it is becoming, he tells her to get away so he can fight freely. She accepts, but a part of her father's soldiers are after her. She lands on a weird place. That "thing" captures her and turns her into crystal.
He'll never know what she became.
Five Years Later -
What she'll never know is that the war started since the day she turned into a crystal. During those years, he has become part of a rebellion. But he's really different from what he used to be. To lose her and those years of war turned him into a rather effective killing machine.
In the meanwhile, even though she's a crystal, past keeps repeting over and over in her head. For some unknown reason, her crystal self vanishes and she's human again. She notices she has changed and in witnessing all the devastation around her, she decides to search for him. To learn what had happened while she was gone.
A few days later, during a mission, a group of rebels in a car is attacked by a Behemot. He's able to escape and in his run, he encounters an unknown and yet familiar figure. She too finds him familiar. He reminds her of him... Unsure if it's really him, she approaches him and touches him. Deep inside, she knows she has found him.
He takes her at her old house where she takes her mother's armor and prays at her mother's grave, while he looks at her, still unsure if this is all real. The girl he has lost so long ago was still alive ?
She asks him what has happened. And so he does, he also reveals that he killed his mother's murderer one year ago. It shocks her. Of course, she understands why he'd do that, but Raines was still her father and it hurts her to hear he's dead as well. Angry, she shouts at him she's Raines daugther, that she knew all along, that she never loved him and that they are from now on ennemies.
Some time passes since she left him again. He continues fighting for the rebels, while she's fighting for the tyran. They both know they'll eventually encounter each other, it's what they are waiting for.
Finally the moment arrives, the final battle. He sees her fighting a Chaos Behemot and how she gets seriously wounded. At that sight every drop of anger and hate disappear to let place at his true feelings. He rushes toward her, wanting to save her, but it's too late. She's already dead and he'll never know she never stopped to love him.
