A detailed look at setting up your Cosmic Pi unit using our latest image for Raspberry Pi which is built on Grafana and InfluxDB. This video goes into a lot of detail, including how to reset your database. If you are in a hurry and just want to get started, check out our quick start video here.
ALWAYS CONNECT THE GPS ANTENNA FIRST TO YOUR UNIT, ONLY CONNECT THE POWER WHEN IT IS SECURE.
To connect to the CosmicPi WiFi network the details are:
SSID: CosmicPi
Passphrase: CosmicPi
You can change the passphrase by editing /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf where the password is shown in plain text. You can also use this file to connect your Cosmic Pi to the internet - essential if you want to share your detection data with the world via http://cosmicpidata.mooo.com
For accessing the device over SSH, the default settings are:
IP address 192.168.0.1
Username: cosmicpi
Password: MuonsFROMSp8ce
You should change the password for your unit if you want to connect it to a network, you can find instructions on how to change the user password here:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/documenta...
If you want to make changes to the Grafana dashboard, you can log in with the following details:
Username: admin
Password: MuonsFROMSp8ce
You should also change the Grafana password to prevent unauthorised changes to your dashboard, you can find instructions here:
https://grafana.com/docs/grafana/late...
NB. the Grafana version used on the Raspberry Pi Zero inside the Cosmic Pi is version 6, due to compatibility issues with ARMv6.
