Basically, this video gives you an idea on how runes come about as 6*, and what you can get from rolling them, and you should think about your account which level phase you are at to keep the type of rune you want.
My rule of thumb: Green rune, Blue Rune, Purple Rune, Legend rune. I'm at purple phase right now.
