‘First in family’: higher education choices and labour market outcomes
How do those who are the first in their family to attend university navigate the higher education system and the labour market compared to those who have graduate parents? This research provides the first evidence in England on ‘first in family’ students, using rich longitudinal data from a cohort of people born in 1989-90 who are taking part in the Next Steps study.
