This is a short horror film about a boy alone in his backyard at dusk, and the thing at the tree line that already knows his name. It sounds exactly like his mother. It tells him it cannot come out until it is dark. He is the only one who can see it.
In this creepy short film, the entity in the woods is a mimic, a voice-copying creature from folklore that lures children by imitating the people they trust. If you have ever heard stories about a doppelganger, a skinwalker, a voice in the trees, or something in the woods that calls your name in a familiar voice, this scary video sits in that same tradition. A parent's voice is the safest sound a child knows. That is exactly why it gets copied first.
