Back again for more high budget drawing to explain the differences in tone between certain preamps, class A and AB etc... not all class A preamps have even order harmonics but this explanation centers around the Neve 1073 and similar preamps.
I do not think you need to buy expensive microphone preamplifiers and I'm an advocate of recording clean and then saturating later. I'm just explaining where the tonal differences come from in this video in case anyone cares... since many people cared in the previous video in which I explained about the differences between class A and AB amplifier circuits.
