The People's Republic of China and the United States of America fruitfully cooperated in the economy and even politics. The period up to 2017 was almost called the "golden age" in relations. The countries, despite a number of conflicting issues, were very sensitive to each other's interests. It reached the point of what is unthinkable today: the PRC joined (or rather, imposed its own similar) US sanctions against the DPRK and Iran.
Today they talk about a new "cold war" and the Chinese threat. Moreover, this term, like the statement about the "golden age", comes from the speeches of American politicians and analysts. What happened?
And why did the peaceful and calm year 2018 become the date of a sharp cooling - this line is very clearly traced. Trump? Communism? I disagree. After all, at the same time, relations between the United States and Vietnam began to develop rapidly. Where in power are not just communists, but communists who fought against the United States.
There are many reasons for this "cold snap". And one of them is unexpected - plastic. More precisely, waste.
