📡 TRANSMISSION: EP17 // GASLEAK NARRATIVE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
GASLEAK NARRATIVE continues Neon Grid Rider — Season 2.
SIGNAL STATUS // feed stabilized — visual transmission upgraded.
She sits in Coffee Zone with a paper cup between her hands, watching rain stitch neon into the glass. The café’s public screen runs the story on loop — polished anchor, clean lower-thirds, a skyline still glowing from last night’s violence.
A headline lands like a seal:
CAUSE OF EXPLOSION IDENTIFIED.
Then the official line follows — smoother than truth:
Officials claim gas leak.
It’s too neat. Too fast. Too final.
Because she saw the Boomer break free through smoke and shattered glass — armored, heavy, not falling, escaping. The city didn’t “misread” that. It’s rewriting it.
So she goes back.
A new day. No sirens. No flames. Just a skyscraper standing wrong — cooled but not clean, the air still tasting faintly of melted plastic and scorched metal. Inside, the stairwell rises in loops, concrete and railings repeating like a machine counting upward. She climbs until the numbers on the landings stop feeling real.
One corridor is darker than the rest. One doorframe is burned to charcoal. Inside: a room cooked by heat — warped walls, collapsed furniture, blackened remains fused into the floor. Nothing here looks like a simple accident.
And in the debris she finds it: a metal fragment that doesn’t belong. Too dense. Too engineered. A piece of hardened armor.
On the surface: a broken logo / partial mark — just enough to point toward something industrial on the far side of Megacity. A factory complex. A source.
She pockets the fragment.
The narrative is theirs.
But the evidence is hers.

🎚 Sound & inspiration:
Genre-blending with a retrofuturistic edge — balancing cyberpunk noir atmosphere with high-voltage energy and cinematic tension. Expect driving rhythms, bold leads, warm textures, and mechanical pulse — built to feel like a living city.
This episode leans into: broadcast propaganda, noir investigation, post-fire silence, and the moment a lie becomes a mission.
🎛 Series focus: sound design, sonic worldbuilding, and atmosphere — track by track, expanding the SYNTHLAB universe.
📼 Visuals: neon café warmth vs. cold official broadcast; rain-soaked streets; cooled high-rise aftermath; concrete stairwell geometry; burned interiors and forensic detail — cinematic cyberpunk framing.
🧑 🤖 About the process:
SYNTHLAB is a transparent human + AI collaboration — the lab sets the concept, references, mood, and creative direction, with AI tools used as a co-pilot for rapid iteration, variation, and refinement. The result isn’t “autopilot content,” but a curated, human-led experiment where technology supports an intentional artistic vision — across music, story, and visuals.
