Sony A9RS Canon R5 Worst Nightmare? 50MP Sensor - 8K Video
It seems that Sony is getting ready to announce a new A9 replacement or whole new camera with some super powers.
The sony A9X, Sony A9RS or Sony A9iii however you want to call it, seems to be the camera to get at Canon EOS R5.
The Sony A9iii is rumored to have a brand new sensor and incredible video capabilities.
Let’s start talking about the Sensor of this A9X: 50 MP
Now that’s more than double the resolution of the A9ii.
Sony A9X video Specs rumored to be up to 8k 30p. Yes that is insane and some what nerve wrecking.
We have seen that in order to run *k all day you can’t make it happen in a body like the Sony A9.
Sony Alpha Rumors posted a new information about some of the confirmed specs and I am a bit confused.
One of the things that made the Sony A9 and Sony A9ii so good was related to the 24 Mp sensor that provided fast performance and great low light capabilities while minimizing the rolling shutter effect.
Sony the Rumored Sony A9X seems to break that rule because the new sensor of 50MP will entail that more pixels are being crammed in the sensor making it less sensitive to light.
Regarding at some of the specs that we assume the Sony A9R is going to have is that this camera will borrow most of the great features from the Sony A9 such as new Flip screen, Evf, ports, dual Sd/ CF Express type A, body and the whole nine.
Now with the Photo specs aside, let’s talk about the video features of the Sony A9X because this camera will either have very basic 8k video capabilities or the A9iii is simply going to record for minutes or even seconds refraining from the old known overheating issue.
There it could be a possibility that the Sony A9iii could be a brand new line of cameras all together and this is the reason why we call it the Sony A9RS just because this camera seems to be more of a sony A7rIv and a Sony A7Siii …than actually a Sony A9..
Whatever the case may be we still don’t have confirmation of the codecs and bit depth that this camera is going to record at.
Nonetheless Sony is going to get back at Canon with something perhaps even better than the Canon R5.
The question is how will the Sony A9iii or Sony A9X will compete against the Canon R5 and R6??
