Chopping DRUM BREAKS on the SP 404 A | Beat Making Tutorial
In this video I breakdown my approach to chopping drum breaks for finger drumming and beat making on the Roland SP-404A. From this one bar loop that I sampled of off vinyl with the SP-202, I harvest multiple variations of the Kicks and Snares which allow for much more dynamic range when beat making. I also cover the techniques I use to more accurately adjust the Start / End Markers to keep the chops tight.
