What Is MXF Video File
MXF is a container format to store videos, with .mxf being the file extension. For instance, you can put H264 encoded video stream into an MXF container, or other MXF-supported codecs, such as MPEG-2, XAVC, AVC Intra, etc.
When the codec is also supported in MP4, you can use the auto copy feature to directly pass through the video. For instance, if your source MXF video is H264, and since MP4 also supports H264, there is no re-encoding required when changing MXF to MP4.
